Hike NS AGM & Hikes: June 27 in Cornwallis

Folks take part in a foggy hike at Gaff Point on the South Shore after last year’s Hike NS AGM.

The Hike Nova Scotia Annual General Meeting will take place in Cornwallis, Annapolis County on Saturday June 27. Lunch will be provided (must RSVP) and there will be a hike before and after the AGM.

10:15 am: Morning Annapolis Royal Walk Meet at the wharf near Kings Theatre (358 St. George St.). There is a Sunday Market nearby you might want to take in before the walk. The walk will include the Annapolis Royal boardwalk, the Fort Anne National Historic Park Pathway and the French Basin Trail (will take about an hour). Please register for this hike at info@hikenovascotia.ca. (Note that is takes 15 -20 minutes to drive to Cornwallis for the AGM.)

12 pm: Lunch at Annapolis Basin Conference Centre in Cornwallis The lunch will be served at the James Horsfall Memorial Hall of the Annapolis Basin Conference Centre at 761 Broadway Ave. Everyone attending the lunch must RSVP at info@hikenovascotia.ca, including any special dietary needs.

1 pm: Annual General Meeting at Annapolis Basin Conference Centre in Cornwallis The AGM will be held at the James Horsfall Memorial Hall of the Annapolis Basin Conference Centre at 761 Broadway Ave.

3 pm: Tour of the Annapolis Basin Conference Centre A brief tour of the facilities will take place before the afternoon hike.

3:45 pm: Afternoon Cornwallis Tidal Beach Trek Cornwallis Tidal Beach Trek at 4 pm: meet at at the James Horsfall Memorial Hall of the Annapolis Basin Conference Centre at 761 Broadway Ave. The walk will include the tidal beach at Cornwallis and the rail trail to Clementsport River View (will take about 40 minutes with chance to extend it to another 40 to walk the wooded trails).
