Becoming an Outdoors Woman: Sept. 9-11

The Becoming an Outdoors -Woman® (BOW) program is a weekend workshop primarily aimed at women 18 years or older to learn outdoor skills – skills usually associated with hunting and fishing, but useful for many outdoor pursuits, like hiking, backpacking, wilderness navigation, wilderness survival and combines a fellowship experience with women. Originally started in the United States in 1991, Nova Scotia began offering the program to women in 1997. Upcoming Workshops for 2011 include:

  • Fall BOW: September 9-11, 2011 at Mount Traber BibleCamp, Cooks Brook, (near Middle Musquodoboit)
  • Winter BOW: February 17 – 19, 2012 at the Gaelic College ofCeltic Arts & Crafts, St. Anne’s, Cape Breton
